Download BurnAware 8.7

Version 8.7 of the CD, DVD and Blu-ray burning program BurnAware has been released. This program is available in a Free version and in paid Premium and Professional editions, with prices of 20 and 40 dollars respectively. These versions have additional functionality, such as copying discs and ripping audio CDs. on this page the different editions are compared against each other. Since version 8.5, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Version 8.7

New features:

• Support of WAV format to Audio Grabber.
• Selection of read speed in the Copy and Recovery tools.

Enhancements:

• Improvements to disc reading and copying.
• Improved setting of file date and time.

Fixes:

• Bug with launching from command line.
• Bug with disc locking after copying.
• Bug with saving audio tracks in Audio Grabber.
• Bug with removing hidden attribute of files in root directory.
• Minor bug fixes.

Version 8.6

New features:

• Option to set number of copies to Media Disc.
• Display of progress for each file during verification.
• New method of data arrangement to Span Disc tool.

Enhancements:

• Updated Span Disc tool and “About program” dialog.
• Improved disc reading and writing speed control.
• Improvements to disc burning performance and verification.
• Minor interface improvements.

Fixes:

• Bug with file time encoding in Media Disc.
• Bug with writing at lowest speed in Data compilations.
• Bug with device selection after burning on systems with two drives.
• Bug with potential access violation during preparing data.
• Bug with ability to close application without canceling burn process.
• Minor bug fixes.
