Download BS.Player 2.40 build 995 beta
The developers behind BS.Player have released a new version of the media player, a beta this time. BS.Player is a multimedia player that can play various audio and video formats. The program is available in two different versions, namely Free and Pro. The Pro version costs thirty euros and has more possibilities than the free variant, which includes the ability to stream videos from YouTube in a higher quality, record video, and a comprehensive equalizer.
BS.Player was one of the most popular media players for a long time, but that soon came to an end after the freeware version was loaded with adware. As of version 2.30, the SaveNow adware module has been replaced by a optional toolbar, which has a search function but can also control the player. Below are all the changes and improvements made since the previous stable release, version 2.36 build 988:
Improvements:
- Added option to specify minimum movie duration for downloading subtitles
- Downloaded subtitles are now cached
- Added option to only re-enable Aero when player is closed (Windows 7)
- Added support for MPL2 subtitle format
Bug fixes:
- Subtitles will now be saved with correct decimal separator
- Audio stream cycling didn’t work with some mkv files, fixed
- Sometimes Auto ‘Pan scan’ wasn’t properly remebered, fixed
- Fixed problem, when local subtitles were available, but player still asked for download
- Fixed title display problem with some radio stations
- Fixed freezing problem with some RAR files
- Fixed problem with not remebering color controls settings under Vista
- In some cases file couldn’t be opened again, when it was automatically added to playlist, fixed
