BoomBox is an open source audio player for Linux. The developer of this program was looking for an alternative to Winamp 3 that could work under Linux, and when he couldn’t find anything, he decided to make his own player. In addition to the basic functionality such as playing different audio formats, this program has an extensive music library in which you can keep track of your music. Today version 0.1.1 was released in which the following things have changed:

  • Fixed web radio pausing.
  • Fixed segfault bug when trying to update database on some systems.
  • Fixed install prefix for icondir.
  • Always on top and no border wm stuff added.
  • Resizing/toggle bug fixed.
  • Apostrophe bugs in browser fixed.
  • Now can use ‘ to filter.
  • Fixed includes to allow compiling on some other systems.
  • Don’t know how why this varies.
  • Added database location and explaining texts in configuration dialog.
  • Restricted possible input to layout box.
