Download blueMSX 2.2.0
The MSX is a home computer from earlier times, but fortunately there are still a number of people who are fully engaged in the development of the MSX and also with the various emulators for this platform. One of these emulators, written by Daniel Vik and his team, is blueMSX and allows you to play MSX games on Windows based systems. The goal of blueMSX is to create a better playing experience than what is now possible with other MSX emulators. For this purpose, the look & feel of the TV is imitated, better audio emulation and better control via joystick and mouse are used. Version 2.2.0 has been available for a few days and it has the following release notes:
We like to celebrate this release along with Benoit’s birthday! (Happy birthday march). Well let’s start by saying that this is first release in 2005. We have spent nearly 3 month developing, almost everyday blueMSX evolved with fixes and new features. There is so much highlights I just don’t know where to begin, well Daniel have added a plugin in structure to the emulator, with this we are now able to provide extension. This includes our first debugger and hoping we attract more programmers. Our new member Johan have worked on trainer, very neat feature dedicated to the gamers. Speaking of game, Benoit have brought new concept to the image database and now blueMSX can share database with openMSX. Tomas have provided SVI with SVI-806 video card support and also worked on adding parallel and serial port to blueMSX. Finally v2.2 is out and we just hope our user enjoy this release![break]The following downloads are ready:
