Download Blender 2.60 Release Candidate
Version 2.60 of the open source and cross platform 3D program Blender is almost finished and a release candidate is now available for download. The application is intended for 3d modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, interactive creation and playback. More information about the extensive possibilities of Blender can be found on this page are being found. This program includes the open source animation movies Elephant’s Dream, Big Buck Bunny and cinder created. If no major problems are found, the final can be expected in the middle of this month. The main changes made in version 2.60 can be found below.
Main changes in 2.60 will be:
- 3D audio support
- Translated UI with support for non-western fonts
- Improved nodes editing
- Animation system improvements
- Texture face properties moved to Material
- Improved Weight Painting tools
- Recast Detour branch, GE navigation maps.
- Collada GSoC project
- VertexGroup modifiers
- Migrated to newer FFMpeg 0.8.2
- Sequencer proxy support
- Python callbacks for events like “on load” or “frame changed”
- OSX now has stable OMP (threading) support for sculpt and physics sims.
