Download Avast Antivirus 7.0.1461 Beta

Alwil Software is developing a new build of Avast Antivirus 7.0 and has now released a beta release. The program is available in the free Avast Free Antivirus and the paid Avast Pro Antivirus versions. In addition, there is Avast Internet Security, which includes a firewall and anti-spam as extras. This update fixes several issues, including black screens, keyboard failure, random switching to save zone, and Outlook plugin issues. The full changelog looks like this:

This beta contains the following fixes:

• Black screen syndrome (1) – unable to log-in
• keyboard disabled (1)
• IE webrep crashes
• Random switching to safe zone
• Welcome screen opening after each reboot
• Outlook plugins does not work & crashes of Outlook (2)
• Cannot add new packet rules
• Double VPS update sounds
• Update screen closes without clicking on finish button
• SNX fixes

(1) If you still have these issues, please follow these steps and give us as much information as possible. Thanks a lot!
(2) We still have problems with unregistering old plugin on some configurations. If it’s possible, please unregister old one (eg through aswClear.exe) and then install avast! plugin again. We will fix this issue for next beta refresh. Sorry for that.
