Download Avast Antivirus 2016 11.1.2239 RC 2

Alwil Software is developing version 2016 of its security program Avast and has now released its second release candidate. This program is available in the free Free Antivirus, and the paid Pro Antivirus and Internet Security versions. In addition, there is Premier, which has additional management functions, such as the possibility to remotely take over a PC and possibly erase the hard disk. In version 2016, the program has been given a new look, it can also act as a password safe and is able to check more routers for insecure settings. Since beta 3, the following improvements have been made:

Changes from V2016 RC 1:

• Minor fixes for Home network security

Changes from V2016 Beta 4:

• Bug fixes
• Online Security plugin in Firefox is now signed in all cases (new installation or update)
• Firewall now should run ok on Windows 10

Changes from V2016 Beta 3:

• Home network security is now fully completed and works also in Smart Scan
• Fixed major bugs in Passwords
• Fixed crashes in SafeZone tabs
• NG is not installed automatically in Free, but can be installed via Custom installation
• Fixed minor problems on uninstall screen
• Fixed problem with non working Firewall afer installation via online installer
• Animated icons in menu + new background on main page
• Trillions of minor bug fixes and improvements

Known issues:

• Account screens are English only
• Online Security plugin isn’t installed for Firefox 64-bit
• Missing links on the SafeZone browser start page
• Missing translations on some screens
