Bolide Software, known for All My Movies, All My Books and Image Comparer, released a new version of Audio Comparer on Thursday. With this program music files can be compared in order to detect duplicates. It doesn’t do this by looking at the name, file size or tags, but the files are actually ‘listened’ in its own words. Because of this, it shouldn’t matter what format or bitrate the file is in. Audio Comparer can handle mp3, mp2, mp1, wma, aif, wav and ogg files and a license costs just under twenty-five euros.
