Apple has released a new update for Mac OS X 10.5. It concerns version 10.5.6, which from this page for the Client and Server editions of 10.5. It is also possible to download the patch via Software Update. The 10.5.6 patch brings with it quite a few improvements, and at over 372 megabytes it is one of the biggest updates to the Leopard version of Mac OS X. Apple developers have made improvements applied in iChat, Mail and Airport, among others. In addition, there are no fewer than fifteen security vulnerabilities poem. • Improves compatibility with smart cards such as the US Department of Defense Common Access Card.
• Updates time zone data and Daylight Saving Time rules for several countries.
