Apple has released the first update for version 10 of iTunes. With this program it is possible, among other things, to manage the music and movie collection, buy music, movies and TV series from Apple’s online music store, burn CDs and of course manage the iPod or iPhone. Apple’s iTunes is available for Windows XP and later Windows versions and of course for Mac OS X. New in version 10 includes Ping, which makes it possible to see what friends or a favorite artist are listening to. Furthermore, TV episodes in HD quality can now also be rented, support for the latest Apple hardware has been added and the performance of the program has been improved. Various bug fixes have been made in version 10.0.1.

iTunes 10.0.1 provides a number of important bug fixes, including:

• Addresses an issue where the picture quality of a video changes depending on whether the on-screen controls are visible.
• Resolves an issue where iTunes may unexpectedly quit while interacting with album artwork viewed in a separate window.
• Fixes a problem that affects the performance of some third-party visualizers.
• Addresses an issue where the iTunes library and playlists appear empty.
• Resolves an issue that created an incompatibility with some third-party shared libraries.
