Download Apple Final Cut Pro 5.1.4

Apple has an update set up for Final Cut Pro, bringing the program to version 5.1.4. The 38MB heavy update can be done by filling in the required data from this page be downloaded. Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 is considered a maintenance release and includes two minor bug fixes. The first bug fix ensures that plugins with a custom user interface will work from now on, while the second fix concerns the import of xml files. While this seems like a major update to the two bugs that were worked out of the code, Think Secret been told that Final Cut Pro 6 may be introduced in April, with support for Mac OS X ‘Leopard’. Until then we have to make do with version 5.1.4, which includes the following release notes:

Provides important bug fixes to resolve plugin issues. This update is recommended for all Final Cut Pro 5.1, 5.1.1, 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 customers. Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 is a maintenance release that resolves the following issues:

• FxPlug plugins that have custom user interface elements now work as expected.
• Importing XML files with missing pathurl elements now works as expected.
