Download aMule 2.2.4
For exchanging files, you can use, among other things, the eDonkey– and Kademlianetworks. In addition to the original client for the first network, eDonkey2000, an open source client with the catchy name eMule was also developed, which later gave birth to the second network. The latter client is only available for Windows, as a result of which a group of developers has started using aMule to provide support for various platforms such as FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris and of course Windows. Titled “we didn’t have a .4 version since… well… long ago”, these developers have released aMule 2.2.4 with the following announcement:
aMule 2.2.4 released
We are happy to announce the release of aMule 2.2.4 – The “we didn’t have a .4 version since… well… long ago” version. This release is intended to be the last of the 2.2.x series, however, noone knows what future brings… Randomly picking some changes in this release:
- Adapted for newest support libraries, such as crypto++-5.6.0, GeoIP-1.4.6, etc
- Several improvements in Kademlia routing
- Fixes of rare, occasional and frequent crashes (just a joke, aMule never crashes Roll Eyes )
- …and many many more…
Please see the changelog for a list of all changes.
