Download aMSN Messenger 0.96

Alvaro has just released a new final version of its aMSN Messenger, the open source counterpart and clone of the former MSN Messenger. As a result, the program has arrived at version number 0.96 final and can be used from this page be downloaded for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X and FreeBSD. The source code can also be downloaded from the same page with which you can compile your own variant of aMSN Messenger, or if you are curious about how the software is coded. In the new final version it is possible to send files and Personal Messages to users of Windows Live Messenger and to see the user icons of the people in the contact list. Finally, the long-awaited 0.96 release is out! It contains several bug fixes to the release candidate, most important ones being: a) you can now send files to Windows Live Messenger users b) the connectivity checker is a lot more reliable.
