Videos and files Pokémon Legends: Arceus appear online ahead of release
Screenshots and videos of the RPG Pokémon Legends: Arceus are circulating on various online platforms. The game will be released on January 28, but the full story of the game is already known. It also seems that files of the latest Pokémon game have been leaked.
Users share the screenshots and video on Twitter, Reddit and ResetEra, among others, writes game website NintendoLife. The videos show, among other things, different Pokémon models and the appearance of the Pokédex. Also, the videos show the full story of the game. The images are presumably put online by people who have previously acquired the game.
It seems that Pokémon Legends: Arceus game files are also circulating online. According to data miner OatmealDome, the game file size 6GB and runs on the same engine as Pokémon Sword and Shield. The game would also use the same server system as the Capcom game Monster Hunter Rise, which came out for the Switch last year.
The RPG would now be illegally available. According to GBAtemp, an XCI file containing the game is going around. An attempt was made to run the game on Yuzu, an open source Nintendo Switch emulator, but the game would not launch.
The soundtrack has also been released online. Nintendo has not yet responded substantively to the leaked images and files. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set in the feudal era of the Sinnoh region and players can roam freely in an open world. The game therefore resembles The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild more than the previous games: Pokémon Sword and Shield.
