A new beta release of version 4.00 of the media player AIMP has appeared. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most popular music formats. The appearance resembles the well-known Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags. In version 4.0, AIMP has been given a new look and support for Windows XP has been discontinued. • Player – the “stop after current” function does not work for internet radio
• Skin Engine – window size restores incorrectly in some cases at application startup
• Tag Editor – application hangs while saving the changes in some cases

• music library – report – the “album artist” field is used for the “top albums” section
• Music Library – table scrolls to beginning after changing mark in table
• Small bugs were fixed
