Download AIMP 3.60 build 1447 rc 1

A new first release candidate of version 3.60 of the media player AIMP has appeared. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most popular music formats. The appearance resembles the well-known Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New:

• Tag editor: autonumeration – an ability to adjust format to XXX or XXX/XXX

Improvements:

• Skin Engine: memory consumption during skin loading has been reduced
• Skin Engine: memory consumption for skin has been reduced twice

Fixed:

• Sound Engine – stuttering while playing files with bitrates more than 5 Mbps
• Sound Engine – application hangs in some cases during process of adding or removing USB-sound card
• Player – album arts not loaded in some cases if caching is switched off
• Player – some files in AAC format cannot be played completely
• playlist – newly created playlist is removed past the recycle bin when closing the tab
• Tag Editor – default encoding detects incorrectly when loading CUE from an external file
• Skin Engine – an error occurs on program startup under Windows XP
• Skin Engine – desktop work area was not updated after minimize fixed window
