Download AIMP 3.20 Build 1125 Beta 1

The development of version 3.20 of media player AIMP has started and its first beta release has now been released. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most commonly used music formats. The appearance is somewhat like Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags.

In version 3.20, among other things, the audio converter has been improved. For example, several files can be converted into one large file and the computer can be shut down automatically when the conversion is finished. Furthermore, the caching system has been improved so that the hard drive is accessed less often, and cover art can be viewed in its original size. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

Common:

• Added an ability to view embedded Cover Art in original resolution
• Equalizer presets are now stored to the separate file on disk
• Hint for the “Part repeat AB” button now contains information about bounds of repeating part

Sound Engine:

• Added WASAPI Exclusive supports
• The algorithm of input file caching has been improved – now engine access to the disk less frequently
• The maximum size of cache for input file has been increased to 250 MB

Radio Capture:

• The module uses the engine of Audio Converter now

Audio Converter:

• The “Encode All To One File” mode has been added (with / without CUE logging)
• Added an ability to shut down the computer after conversion operation
• Added an ability to change format of input audio stream
• Added an ability to use console encoders
• Added an ability to encode files to MusePack format
• Tags in the ID3v1 now are saved to the file when encoding to MP3 format

scheduler:

• Added an ability to switch the computer to sleep mode
• Added an ability to wake up the computer
• Added an ability to suspend playback and / or close the player before computer shutdown
• The Alert will be shown now before computer shutdown

Audio Library:

• Incremental search has been added to the dropdown list of the filter of table column
• Added an ability to flush search query easier

Advanced Tag Editor:

• Added an ability to choose tag format for which the changes will be saved
• Added an ability to edit tags in M4A format

Plugins:

• Ogg Vorbis Encoder has been updated to v1.3.3
• Decoder for OPUS format has been added
