The second release candidate of version 3.10 of the media player AIMP has been released. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most commonly used music formats. The appearance is somewhat like Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags.

In version 3.10 the appearance has been slightly modified, the audio converter is supplied with the program again after some absence and various changes have been made to the playlists and the audio library. The changelog for this release shows the following changes and improvements:

Changes:

• Bookmarks: An ability to sort items in Bookmarks Manager
• Plugins: Support of the Input plugins from Winamp has been improved
• Skin Engine: Text drawing speed is increased twice

Fixed:

• Player cuts the value of a track number field, if it is greater than 255
• The Cover Arts is read incorrectly from ID3v2.4 in some cases
• Skip mode does not work in the “Send To” dialog
• Skin Engine – Wrong scrolling step at the ScrollBar element with non-resizeable thumb
• Skin Engine – Controls does not receive focus in some cases
• Small bugs and defects
