Adobe has released new versions of Flash Player and the Adobe Integrated Runtime. With Adobe Flash Player it is possible to play Flash content, mainly swf files, on the computer. Popular video sites such as YouTube and Google Video, among others, offer their visitors the opportunity to play videos with the stand-alone Flash Player. Adobe AIR provides a cross platform environment for developing and playing Rich Internet Applications. Downloads are available for Windows, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS. What’s new is that Adobe AIR is now also available for iOS, while Flash only has security updates and bug fixes. Linux support is no longer available from version 3.0.

Fixed Issues

AIR for iOS

• Fails to connect under the WiFi + Proxy RTMPT and RTMPS (2969731).

Flash Player desktop

• Video playback will be hidden under the browser when toggling between the tabs at full screen by shortcuts CTRL + TAB in IE9 (2965715).

Flash Player on Android

• Video Streaming issue on Samsung Galaxy S2. Audio plays, but no video (2985567).
• Enable 1080p video for NVidia Tegra 3 chipset based devices (2985986).

Known Issues

Flash Player and AIR desktop

• Adobe Flash Player product download dialog on Mac OSX 10.6 and above can’t be interacted with (2986968).
• No hardware acceleration for Stage3D on a Lenovo ThinkPad T410 (2994013).

Flash Player on Android

• OS does not prioritize incoming call – audio remains playing before and after call is received (2973508).
• Enter key does not work on the multi-line text input field. (2980528).

AIR on iOS

• iPhone mute button not honored (3003849).
