Download Acoo Browser 1.54 build 738

The developers behind Acoo Browser released version 1.54 build 738 of their namesake web browser a few days ago. This program is a so-called ‘wrapper’; it uses Internet Explorer’s internal engine to render the pages, but the interface is owned by Acoo Browser itself. Of course it also adds the necessary extra functionality, such as multi-window browsing (tabs), a popup and ad blocker, mouse gestures, shortened URLs and the ability to zoom in and out of web pages. Changes in version 1.54 build 738:

• Now you can assign a keyboard shortcut to an Acoo Browser menu item.
• Acoo Browser now can detect when a page is really a web feed, and it display a view of the feed that’s much easier to read.
• Add support for alias in the dialog brought up by selecting “file->open”.
• Small enhancements and a few bugs fixed.

Changes in version 1.53 build 590:

• Added support for open links inside MSN Messenger within Acoo Browser.
• Acoo Browser now can be closed before a file is completely downloaded.
• Added the skin preview feature.
• Added shortcut key for go to “previous window” and “next window”.
• Now history pane in Acoo Browser works properly with IE7.
• Now you can set the default action for the “New” button.
• Small enhancements and a few bugs fixed.
