Download AbiWord 2.4.4

It is unclear what exactly happened to version 2.4.3, but the AbiSource community has just released version 2.4.4 of AbiWord. This open source word processor is available for Windows, Mac OS X and various distributions of Linux. In this release, in particular, the OpenDocument import and export filters have been improved, the appearance of the Windows version has been tinkered with and some bugs have been fixed in the routines that align the text. The changes from 2.4.2 to 2.4.4 include, amongst others:

• Substantially updated the OpenDocument import and export filters
• Lots of tweaks to the Windows interface
• Various fixes to our Right-to-Left text handling routines
