Abiword is a word processor whose greatest strength is its compatibility with the widest range of text file formats. In addition, the program runs on many different operating systems. The development team released a quick bug fix not long after the previous version, assigning it 2.2.7 as the version number. The release notes are largely identical to those of 2.2.6 but contain this line as an extra addition:
