Download 7zX 1.4.3

The compression format 7z is increasingly used for compressing files. The 7zX program, as the name suggests, is written specifically for Mac OS X and offers full support for the 7z format. At the moment, the program has no graphical interface but works on a drag & drop basis for compressing files. The developer has released version 1.4.3 with the following changes:

Version 1.4.3:

Supports Growl, a powerful notification system for Mac OS X, and fixes a minor bug which could (once again affect the creation of Self-Extracting Archives.

Version 1.4.2r2:

Fixed a critical bug introduced with version 1.4.1, which would prevent archive encryption and SEA creation from working correctly.

Version 1.4.2:

Completely rewritten Software Update engine. You can now decide to ignore certain updates. We cannot see a reason for doing that, but someone asked us to insert this specific feature.

Version 1.4.1:

Includes many optimizations, which produce a faster and smaller software.
