Download 7zX 1.3.3

The compression format 7z is increasingly used for compressing files. The 7zX program, as the name suggests, is written specifically for Mac OS X and offers full support for the 7z format. At the moment the program does not have a graphical interface but works on the basis of drag & drop for compressing files. The developer has released version 1.3.3 with the following note:

Version 1.3.3:
Includes a preferences panel: you can now set the compression method once and be happy with it. Also, the software update bubble won’t pause operations anymore

Version 1.3.2:
Version 1.3.2 is basically a highly optimized release of 7zX. The compression/decompression core has been updated to version 4.37 thanks to Kai Rune Mathisen, and is now smaller in size. This means that 7zX itself and any Self Extracting Archives created with it will be smaller too!
