Download 7-Zip 4.61 Beta

The developers behind 7-Zip released a new beta release of their archiving program today. This program, which is made available under the gpl license, can handle many compression formats, including zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb and of course the self developed 7z. Furthermore, the software is able to open iso files and nsis installation packages. In version 4.61 the possibility of lzma compression within zip files has been added, some bugs have been fixed and a new translation has been added:

• 7-Zip now supports LZMA compression for .ZIP archives.
• Some bugs were fixed.
• New localization: Sinhala.
