Download 7-Zip 4.42

After no major issues surfaced in the previous beta release of 7-Zip, the developers behind this archiver have decided to release another stable version. The open source program 7-Zip can handle the compression formats zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb, the self-developed 7z and now ISO files and NSIS installation packages. Improvements have also been made to the speed of packing and extracting files. The changelog of version 4.42 itself looks like this:
