Download 7-Zip 16.04

Version 16.04 of 7-Zip has been released. This open source archiver can handle a wide range of compression formats, including zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb and of course the proprietary 7z† Furthermore, the software is able to open iso files and nsis installation packages. New in version 16 is that the program can now handle large .z01, .z02 type zip files spread over multiple files. Previously it could handle .zip.001, .zip.002. In this version a few more problems have been fixed.

What’s new after 7-Zip 16.03:

• The bug was fixed: 7-Zip 16.03 exe installer under Vista didn’t create links in Start / Programs menu.
• Some bugs were fixed in RAR .
