SNS is struggling with internet banking failure on Friday evening – update 3
SNS is dealing with a malfunction that prevents customers from online banking via their smartphone. The outage appears to have started on Friday evening, and the bank has confirmed the issues. It is not yet known what caused the defect.
Many SNS customers have reported on social media that they are seeing an error code when using the SNS online banking app. After some time confirmed the bank reported the problems on Twitter, stating that something goes wrong when using the app, but that internet banking via the desktop should still work.
SNS also states that a solution to the problems is being worked on. However, it has not been disclosed what caused the problems initially. However, short-term problems with internet banking occur at many large banks, in which in many cases the shortcoming is resolved within the foreseeable future.
Update 6:36 am: SNS reports that the fault has now been rectified.
Update 2 – 11:01 AM: there appears to be another malfunction at SNS, so let the bank know on Twitter. Again this applies to the mobile app and internet banking via the desktop does work.
Update 3 – 5:59 PM: SNS announces that the malfunction has been resolved.
