Snaps Spectacles 3 camera glasses with 3D effects cost 370 euros
Snap has announced the third generation of its Spectacles glasses with cameras. With its two cameras, the glasses can capture depth in the form of 3D Snaps. At 370 euros, the price is a lot higher than that of the Spectacles 2.
Thanks to the depth registration by the cameras of Spectacles 3 glasses, users can provide images with 3D effects, including filters and lens effects. At the same time, Snap is introducing a cardboard viewer that allows users to view the images with their smartphone and the Snap application. Snap shows examples of the 3d effects on the Spectacles website.
The glasses shoot photos at a resolution of 1642×1642 pixels and record video at a resolution of 1216×1216 pixels. The glasses contain 4GB of storage that can hold up to twelve hundred photos or one hundred videos of the maximum length of one minute.
A single charge should be enough to shoot seventy videos and over two hundred photos, and the included holder serves as a charger for up to four new charges. The charger itself can be recharged via USB-C. Furthermore, there are four microphones and an LED indicator that indicates making recordings.
The Spectacles 3 costs 370 euros. That’s considerably more than the basic version of the Spectacles 2 which costs 175 euros, although there are also versions of 230 euros.
