Snapchat releases web version, not yet available in Benelux

The social medium Snapchat is releasing a web version of its app. With the web version, messages and ‘snaps’ can be sent. Video calls and regular calls are also possible. Snapchat for Web is currently not yet available in the Benelux.

Snapchat for Web is currently only available in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. At a later time, the web version available to users in more countries. When visiting Snapchat’s web version from the Benelux the message ‘soon to be published’ is displayed.

Additionally, the web version of Snapchat currently requires a subscription to Snapchat+. It is not clear whether the function can also be used without a subscription at a later date. The paid plan costs $4 per month and gives users access to “exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features.” Snapchat+ is not yet available in the Netherlands and Belgium.
