Smartphones from, among others, OnePlus, Realme, Oppo and Xiaomi will receive the Android 11 beta in the coming weeks. This is evident from various announcements. The beta has been running on Google Pixel phones since Wednesday night.

Oppo is releasing the beta for its high-end models Find X2 and Find X2 Pro, writes XDA-Developers. It is unknown which models are involved with other manufacturers, but with OnePlus it is obvious that it concerns some of the most recent models: the manufacturer releases relatively few models per year. Last year, the 6T, 7 and 7 Pro were in the Android 10 beta program.

After a week’s delay, Google released the first beta of Android 11. The beta can be installed on the Pixel 2, 2XL, 3, 3XL, 3a, 3a XL, 4 and 4XL. According to the search giant, the most important innovation is in the way Google handles conversations from chat apps. They have been given their own section in the notification bar and users are given the option to pin conversations on the screen with ‘bubbles’, which remain over apps. This allows users to quickly return to the conversation when there is a new message.
