Smart thermostat ThermoSmart gets ifttt support
ThermoSmart, the maker of the smart thermostat of the same name, has announced that it has made the ThermoSmart thermostat compatible with the ifttt service. This allows the thermostat to be controlled directly via the simple programming tool.
According to ThermoSmart, its smart thermostat is the first from a European manufacturer that can partner with ifttt, which stands for if this then that. The start-up thinks that the link with ifttt increases the possibilities for controlling a smart thermostat. In addition, a public API is already available and the ThermoSmart can also be controlled via third-party apps.
Ifttt provides end users with a simple online programming tool. Various home automation equipment can already be linked, such as the Philips Hue LED lamps. By also linking ThermoSmart to ifttt, the user can, for example, set the heating to be switched off when the resident leaves the house. Via geofencing ifttt can give a command to the ThermoSmart to put the central heating boiler on low.
