Smart mirror with camera and microphone let users follow fitness workout
Many people like working out, but it’s a shame that you have to physically go to a gym for that. That is why the American company Curiouser Products has created the Mirror, a smart mirror with a camera and microphone. A personal trainer can give instructions on the screen.
The mirror is 132x56x3cm in size and the New York company has placed a 40″ image panel vertically in it with a viewing angle of 178 degrees, according to the specs. The mirror has a 5-megapixel camera of unknown type and a single microphone to record audio. Also, the mirror has a pair of speakers so you can hear the instructor as well.In the case is an undisclosed quad-core processor.
Curiouser also sells subscriptions and personal trainer sessions. With those subscriptions it is possible to follow pre-recorded workouts, while you can get a live session from a personal trainer for an additional cost of 40 to 75 dollars. Users see themselves while exercising, but that is on purpose, the director tells Engadget. That would help find the right attitude.
