Small part of Vodafone customers struggles with incorrect data usage display
A small number of Vodafone Red customers receive a text message too late that their bundle limit has been reached, or do not see a correct representation of the bundle and outside bundle consumption. Customers will be compensated, Vodafone promises.
Less than 2 percent of Vodafone Red customers are affected by the problem, but the group that is affected varies, making it unclear how many customers are actually affected. Vodafone states in any case that the ‘largest part’ of its customers are not affected by the problem.
Due to the problem, it is possible that the data usage in the My Vodafone app is incorrect, and that customers are not notified that they are at 80 percent of their data usage. Moreover, the notification that they have consumed all data comes too late. Vodafone is working on a solution to the problem, but does not yet know when it will be available.
Vodafone promises that customers will not suffer financially as a result of the problem. If the 100% SMS is sent too late, only data after that SMS will be considered as out-of-bundle consumption. The information on the bill is correct, promises the telecom provider.
