Slightly Mad Studios Announces Project Cars 2
Slightly Mad Studios has announced Project Cars 2. The game studio did this with a project page on World of Mass Development, where gamers can register to support the project with a donation.
Slightly Mad Studios aims to make Project Cars 2 consist of more than 200 tracks in more than 50 locations, including tracks in the snow or through mud. The game must also contain a ‘co-op career’ mode, where it is possible to play as a driver, but also, for example, as a ‘co-pilot’. Like the first Project Cars, it is a game for which the studio wants to raise the money through crowdfunding. Whoever puts more money on the table, also gets more. The people who put on the table from 100 pounds, for example, see their name in the game as an AI opponent.
According to the maker, the game requires a 64bit version of Windows, with at least a 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 or AMD Phenom II X4 940. The graphics card must support at least Direct X11. 4GB of RAM is required.
The announcement comes soon after the release of the first Project Cars, which hit the market this spring. It is still unknown when Project Cars 2 will be released, but with the first Project Cars there were years between the initial announcement and release.
Project Cars 2 will be released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam OS. For a long time there was talk of the first Project Cars also coming out for the Wii U, but with this successor it is already clear that a release for the Nintendo console will not happen.
