Slack failure hinders file uploads and emoji comments, among other things
Slack is experiencing an outage. The first report from Slack that there was a problem came a little before 1:00 PM. Issues have been reported including uploading files and replying to messages from others in the form of emojis.
On Slack’s status page, the company says it is still investigating issues. The company is not saying anything about a possible cause or when the problems are expected to be over. On Downdetector there are reports of the problems from Europe, as well as from India, Pakistan and the US.
According to Slack, there are issues with the necessary parts and functions, such as showing previews of links, uploading files, sending messages, placing calls and integrating apps and APIs. There are also issues with the retention of direct message groups in the sidebar, the search function, the creation of a channel, the Workflow builder and the processing of emails. Slack says that notifications, connections and logins work without any problems.
