Developer Skybound has announced that it will contribute to The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The original developer Telltale Games can’t finish the game because it’s about to close its doors.

Skybound founder Robert Kirkman has announced that it will partner with the developers of Telltale Games to complete The Walking Dead: The Final Season. However, a spokesperson told Variety that no concrete plans have been worked out yet. However, with the agreement it seems that the The Walking Dead series will come to an end.

Telltale Games previously announced that it will close its doors, with a large part of the employees already laid off. Initially, the company still planned to finish the last part of The Walking Dead itself, but the game was later removed from the digital shelves, and then some of the remaining employees were also fired. Then rumors started to come out that Telltale would be looking for another developer to finish the game.

Telltale Games CEO Pete Hawley has indicated that it will make a statement in the coming days. The company may then indicate how The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be completed.
