Singstar coming to PS4 with smartphone app for microphone function

Sony has announced that the game Singstar will be released on the PlayStation 4 later this year. New to this is that Sony will release a mobile app with which the smartphone serves as a microphone.

The Singstar app will be released for both iOS and Android smartphones and, in addition to the microphone feature, also offers the possibility to create playlists. In addition to a release for the PS4, Sony will also release a version for the PlayStation 3 in the course of this year. It is not yet clear whether separate microphones will be released for the game.

Sony does not reveal much about the new part in the Singstar series. The new Singstar would have more options, for example, to share scores via social networking sites. Sony also continues to fill the Singstore with new tracks. For example, songs from REM and Bruno Mars have been added. The publisher also reports that it has sold 26 million copies of previous Singstar games.
