Brian Farrell, the second highest-ranking boss of the illegal online trading platform Silk Road 2, was sentenced Friday in the US to eight years in prison. He was found guilty of distributing cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

The verdict handed down against Brian “DoctorClu” Farrell is in line with the prosecutor’s sentence. This is evident from court documents published by Ars Technica. Farrell, 28, pleaded guilty to the charges in April. During a search of Farrell’s home in January 2015, authorities found, among other things, firearms, UR drugs, drug delivery equipment, $3,900 in silver bars and $35,000 in cash. The US state has seized the latter two cases.

Silk Road 2 was set up after the original Silk Road was taken offline in 2013. The US Department of Justice estimates that the trading place yielded about $8 million a month. The illegal online trading place was hosted on the anonymous Tor network. The FBI also refuses to reveal how DoctorClu and others managed to track down despite the anonymity of the Tor network.
