SilentiumPC releases three new CPU coolers
Polish SilentiumPC has introduced three new coolers. The Fera 3, Spartan 3 Pro and Spartan 3 LT can be used in combination with both AMD and Intel processors and cost between 16.50 and 25.90 euros.
The Fera 3 has four 6mm heatpipes and measures 125x78x155mm. The whole weighs 613 grams and can cool processors with a maximum TDP of 180W. The cooler uses SilentiumPC’s pwm-driven Sigma Pro 120 fan. This fan can be assisted with an additional 120mm fan that can be added using the components supplied with the cooler. The number of rotations per minute of the Fera is between 500 and 1600, with a possible deviation of ten percent. According to the manufacturer, the noise level of the cooler should not exceed 15dB.
The Spartan 3 Pro and 3 LT are what SilentiumPC itself calls the budget models. Both measure 110×82.5×125 and use a 100mm fan. The number of rotations per minute of the fan is between 800 and 2000, with a possible deviation of ten percent. However, where the Pro has four 6mm heatpipes at its disposal, the LT has to make do with two. The LT can cool processors with a maximum TDP of 125W, for the Pro the maximum TDP is 150W. Also, with its 500 grams, the Pro is slightly heavier than the 466 grams of its LT counterpart. The manufacturer claims a maximum noise level of 21dB for both coolers.
The Fera 3 gets a suggested retail price of 25.90 euros. The Spartan 3 Pro should cost 21.90 euros, and the 3 LT is the cheapest with a price tag of 16.50.
