SilentiumPC Introduces Grandis 2 XE1436 Cooler
The Polish SilentiumPC has presented a new mainstream CPU cooler in the form of the Grandis 2 XE1436. The twin-stack cooler contains two fans and the maximum cooling power is 250W.
The Grandis 2 XE1436 is built around six copper heatpipes with a diameter of 6mm, which run through a heatsink of also copper and stick into two finstacks on the two sides. Between those cooling towers, SilentiunPC has placed a 140mm Sigma Pro fan with a speed of 500rpm to 1000rpm. That fan is paired with a 120mm variant in the front, which rotates at 500rpm to 1600rpm.
The dimensions of the cooler are 159x140x130mm and the weight is 1030 grams. The XE1436 is suitable for Intel processors based on socket LGA 775, 115x, 1366 and 2011 v3. In addition, the cooler can be used in combination with AMD AM2(+), AM39+), FM1 and FM2(+). The manufacturer supplies the cooler including a mounting kit, clips for attaching an additional 120mm fan and Pactum PT-2 thermal paste, but the price is not yet known.
