Shooting season 3 The Witcher started and first hints to plot revealed
Netflix announces on social media that the shooting of the third season of The Witcher series has started. It was already known that a new season would be coming. Netflix is also sharing an initial description of the Season 3 plot.
On Twitter shares The Witcher’s account shows a photo of the three main characters sitting in the snow on a movie set. Netflix is producing the series based on the books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and announcing that production has officially started on Monday. The series was promised a new season last year.
Furthermore, we get a brief summary of the plot of the third season. The series follows Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer on a trip to Aretuza. Yennefer wants to further train Ciri in the use of magic. There they will have to deal with ‘political corruption, dark magic and betrayal’. That’s what we’ll have to deal with for now. It is not yet known when the new season will be released on Netflix.
Recently, game maker CD Projekt Red also announced a new The Witcher game. It will be the fourth game in the series that made Sapkowski’s story internationally famous. No release date has been announced for this game yet.
