Shadow of the Tomb Raider footage shows a dark Lara Croft in jungle
Square Enix has released a trailer showing gameplay footage of Lara Croft in a jungle. She takes out quite a few unsuspecting opponents, without revealing her presence. According to the developer, Lara can “become one with the jungle.”
The trailer shows, among other things, how Lara Croft unseen from a tree fires a so-called fear arrow at an opponent. This leads to the target going crazy and turning his firearm against his armed, present allies, causing them to try to take each other out.
Furthermore, the protagonist from Shadow of the Tomb Raider is able to jump from a tree on an opponent and take them out with a knife, without opponents in the vicinity noticing. At the end, Lara Croft takes out a few opponents with a fired barrel of gasoline.
According to the developer, new mechanics have been added to the game, including new ways to deploy a grappling hook, run over walls and Lara can also explore everything while swimming underwater. Square Enix announced in April that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and on Steam.
