Sennheiser releases Sennheiser IE 200 in-ear earplugs for 150 euros
Sennheiser releases the IE 200 earplugs, a set of wired in-ear headphones whose cable can be detached and replaced. At 150 euros, the headphones are a lot cheaper than many other models in the same line.
The Sennheiser IE 200 is a set of in-ear headphones that the company is showing at the CES trade show. The model is a cheaper variant of the existing high-end IE line, which also includes the much more expensive IE 600 or IE 900. The buds have a 7mm transducer of the same TrueReponse technology that is also in other IE models. The company says there is ‘virtually no’ harmonic distortion in the earplugs. The caps have a frequency range between 6 and 20,000Hz.
The rubber tips can of course be changed, as with most in-ear earphones, and are available in small, medium or large sizes. The ear hooks are adjustable. The headphones’ 3.5mm cable has a braided design and is connected to the earphones with an MMCX connector. This allows the cable to be replaced if a cable breaks.
The earphones are available for immediate purchase, but will not be delivered until the end of January. The Sennheiser IE 200 has a recommended retail price of 150 euros.
