Sega has announced that it will release Yakuza Kiwami 2 “in the West” on August 28. The game has been out in Japan since the end of last year, but it has not yet been announced when other countries would get access.

The game maker announced this during the Essence of Art Exhibit, but a short announcement video has also been released. This shows that the game will be released in the West on August 28, but it is not known exactly which countries belong to it. The game comes out for the PlayStation 4, and revolves around main character Kazuma Kiryu.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 was released in Japan on December 7. Another game in the Yakuza series, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, has also been out for some time in Japan, with a European release still pending. Last month it was announced that the game will be available outside of Japan on April 17.

Sega further states that it will soon start preorders for Yakuza Kiwami 2. That can be done via its website, but an exact date for the start has not yet been announced.
