Sega Releases Yakuza 3 Remaster in West, Parts 4 & 5 Coming Later
Sega has released the remaster of Yakuza 3 in the West, after the remaster of the game was released in Japan last year. Yakuza 4 and 5 remasters are also on the way. These games can only be played on the PlayStation 4.
Yakuza 4 Remastered will be released on October 29 and Yakuza 5 Remastered will be released on February 11, 2020, Sega has announced. These two games, like the just released Yakuza 3 Remastered, will have a 1080p resolution at sixty frames per second; with the original titles it was 720p and 30fps.
The three games have content previously not present in the original Western releases, such as the Cabaret mini-games and sub-stories. There are also English subtitles in the remasters and it is possible to play karaoke songs in English. Sega is also releasing The Yakuza Remastered Collection for those interested, allowing players to purchase the three remasters in a bundle.
The remasters of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 have been available in Japan for a while, but were not available in Europe or the US until now. The original Yakuza 3 was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009, followed by parts four and five in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
