Sega Releases Mega Drive Classics Bundle On December 7th For Nintendo Switch
Sega will release the Mega Drive Classics bundle, which includes over 50 games, on December 7 for Nintendo Switch. The bundle costs thirty euros, just like the versions that are already available for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
Sega mentions the release date in a new video posted to YouTube. The bundle was already announced in September, but it was not yet clear when it would be released. The game will appear physically in stores and in the Nintendo eShop for thirty euros.
The Nintendo console version will have an option for local split-screen co-op and support for online multiplayer. The bundle includes classics such as Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage and Virtua Fighter.
The bundle contains games that originally appeared for the Sega Mega Drive. That console appeared in Japan in 1988 and was released in Europe two years later. Sega has already released the same bundle for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and a similar bundle was previously released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
