SEGA brings PS4 game Judgment to next-gen consoles and Stadia
Judgment, a spin-off of the Yakuza games, will be released on April 23 for next-gen consoles and Google Stadia. It is a remaster of the game that was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2019. There will be no regular PC version.
According to SEGA, the new version of Judgment has improved graphics, the game runs at 60fps and the loading times are shorter. The remaster also contains all released DLC. SEGA has also been releasing its Yakuza games on Xbox consoles for several years now, and Judgment is now also coming to Microsoft’s consoles.
The game will also be playable on PC, but only through Google Stadia. This may mean that exclusivity has been agreed with Google. It could also be a temporary exclusivity, although developer SEGA has not said anything about it.
A SEGA spokesperson tells Eurogamer that there will be no update for the PS4 version of Judgment. In order to play the improved version on the PlayStation 5, the game must therefore be purchased again. Judgment is set in Kamurocho, a fictional neighborhood in the version of Tokyo where the Yakuza games are set. Players take on the role of a private detective.
