Scythe Releases Kaze Master Flat II Fan Controller
Japanese hardware manufacturer Scythe has added a new fan controller to its Kaze Master Flat line. It is a 5.25″ model that includes a VFD. The fan controller also has an alarm function if the temperatures rise too high.
The Kaze Master Flat II has a VFD, on which it can simultaneously indicate four temperatures and four fan speeds. The fan controller supports 3 and 4 pin PWM connectors. The voltage, like previous models, can be adjusted and ranges from 3.7 to 12 volts.
With the Kaze Master Flat II it is possible to display temperatures from 0 to 100 degrees Celsius or 32 to 199.9 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the settings. Like other fan controllers that Scythe has released in the past, the Kaze Master Flat II has an alarm function that notifies the user when temperatures rise too high or when a fan fails. The temperature limit can be set between 50 and 90 degrees Celsius. This is done with a dip switch in steps of five degrees.
Like its predecessor, the Kaze Master Flat II fits in a 5.25″ bay, but the screen has been slightly enlarged to better reflect temperatures and fan speeds. The display height is now 4x29x118mm. The Kaze Master Flat II is available immediately. available and has a suggested retail price of 26 euros, excluding VAT.
