The Japanese hardware manufacturer Scythe has developed a set of speakers with LEDs that should be placed in the drive bay of a PC housing. The four speakers deliver only modest power.

The speakers are marketed under the Scythe Kama Bay banner and housed in a single 5.25″ drive bay. The more or less internal speaker set is intended to ensure a tidy desktop and is available in black or silver. Inside, four small speakers with a diameter of 1.25 inches, or more than 3 cm, provide the stereo sound. The output is twice one and a half watts. The set is very similar to previously introduced speakers, which, however, have to do without lighting.

In addition to the four speakers, the Kama Bay Speaker ACE equipped with LED lighting that can be switched on and off independently of the speakers. The speakers can also be turned on or off using a slider and the volume is controlled with a rotary knob. The input for the speakers is supplied via a 3.5 mm plug: a built-in amplifier is powered by a molex connector. The Kama Bay Speaker ACE sets should be available in stores for around eighteen euros.
